development of the

Kick Smart Workshop T
Sensei Martin has
progressively gone
beyond the
fundamental
principles of
martial arts he was
formerly taught and
has brought in world
champion trainers
and experts from
many different areas
of martial arts;
creating a
"university of
martial arts".
This creates more of
a true "open" and
holistic approach,
borrowing what truly
works from other
martial arts - not
just blindly
following what one
group or association
says as "truth." As
a result, a more
balanced and
complete student
will be developed.
Kick Smart WorkshopT
focuses mostly on
Life Skills.
Many martial art
establishments are
more concerned about
sustaining their own
self-worth vs the
students they are
supposed to support.
They often will fill
the room with 20 or
more students with
one primary
instructor, and will
hit you later with
"hidden fees" they
will not discuss
with you until after
you have enrolled in
their program.
NO HIDDEN FEES:
Being involved in
the educational and
martial art field
for several years, I
am well aware of the
over whelming number
of "McDojo's"
... martial art
companies that focus
more on
profits than on
academics. There
are a host of
companies who, in my
opinion, prey
financially on well
intended parents,
often delivering
very low quality
training and care
for children.
There are no hidden
or additional fees
with KickSMART.
Since we are listed
as an educational
institution, all
membership fees are
GST and PST free
and are
considered
"educational
expenses" and are
100% tax
deductible.
We also have a flat,
all inclusive VIP
monthly fee, and
additional family
members receive a
10% discount off
membership. At 3
classes per week
this works out to
around $11 per
class! At 8 classes
per week, this works
out to ONLY $4.40 per
class! NO
OTHER FEES!
There are no
$5000 Black Belt
Clubs, either, and
you do not
pay an extra $100
for a new rank
uniform like many
programs require.
This includes a free
yearly martial arts
uniform ($75 value)
and t-shirt ($25
value), unlimited
weekly & weekend
classes, covers all
grading fees (often
$150), assessment
fees (often $50),
trophies, awards,
certificates, new
belts, and special
workshops run by
some of the
world's finest
martial art
instructors - many
who are members of
Team Canada and have
competed at an
international
level.
