About Kick Smart Workshop™
Kick Smart
Workshop™ is a place of work and play, learning and growing,
challenges and rewards. It is replenished confidence
emerging from a sense of belonging. It is intense workshop
classes of discovery and motivation. It is a program taught
by caring experts, offering academic and life skills that
will last a lifetime. Imagine the possibilities such a
program will have on our youth; our leaders of tomorrow.
Life Skills
Unlike traditional “schools” that focus strictly on academic
skills, we place an equal emphasis on life skills -
increasing confidence, self-esteem and motivation, all
characteristics that create direct and lasting results at
home, in school and in life. Participants learn they are
true Champions of Life and focus on communication
skills, leadership skills, building positive relationships,
conflict resolution, creative thinking, setting goals and
problem solving.

Life Skills Academic Workshop Programs
As an
Life Skills Academy, Kick Smart Workshop’s™’ curriculum
focuses on development of “The 7 Intelligences”
(identified by Psychologist Howard Gardner.)

About
the Founder
Sensei Martin Doherty, RP-CRA -
of the hundreds of children he has taught over the years
- he has also taught DOZENS of children with ADHD,
ADD, Asperger, Autism, Downs Syndrome, those with different
types of types of Dyslexia - (such as visuospatial
difficulties, speech sound difficulties, correlating
difficulties), plus Sensei Martin has taken the Children's
Growth and Development Studies at Acadia University and has
completed a course in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)-
which focuses on the V.A.K. (Visual, Audio and Kinesthetic)
system - which describes the fundamental dynamics between
mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their
interplay effects our body and behavior (programming).
He has also taken about 4 years of intensive Personal
Development Workshop training by some of the world leading
authorities on maximal human performance. His full

About
the Program
The entire program has been designed so that the
Karate4KIDZ™ class is
immediately followed by the
Skills4KIDZ™
class. This gives you, the
parent / guardian, the option of having 1.5 to 2 hours of personal time off for
yourself.
As a fellow parent, I know from experience what a challenge it is to transport
your child strictly for one 45-60 minute class. You even have the option
of a 15 minute early drop off or 15 minute late pickup service!
The classes are about the same (or less) cost as baby sitting!
All tax free!
Please Note that we do have a dedicated Adult Fusion Martial Arts / Kick
boxing & Self Defense class, however, parents are welcome to
attend the children classes as it is a positive way of families of working out
together and learning values together.
All children program costs are tax exempt, and you will be issued tax
receipts for educational tax purposes.
