We are covering a slightly different angle than what many schools may do; not only are we covering the different forms of Bullying – physical, verbal, exclusion, internet, etc …but we are also covering what I call the Victim’s Triangle  – placing the student in the perspective of the Prosecutor, Hero (Observer) and Victim; the three “persons”.  This seminar is 100% KickSMART created.

  • The Hero (in this case) would be the Observer – the 3rd party.  (Ex., What to do if you “see” bullying taking place.  )

  • The Prosecutor (the Bully) – put the student in the shoes of the bully so that they may understand why they act the way they do (so they can understand them)

  • The Victim – What to do to ensure you do not become a victim.  The WHAT – what to do – also what to do to de-escalate the situation as a Victim or Observer.

The 5 W’s:

The WHY  .. Why the three “persons” do what they do?

The WHO .. Victim’s Triangle (Prosecutor, Hero (observer) and Victim)

The WHAT .. what to do if you are any of the above people in a bullying situation.

The WHEN .. timing – when to tell, when to defend (physically), when to walk away.

The HOW … How they do the What. (ex – when pushed to the ground HOW to protect your head, when pushed to the corner – how to get out – when seeing bullying occurring WHO to tell and HOW to tell.)
